ABOUT
Born and raised in the Mohawk Valley of Upstate New York, Alexis is an avid genealogist and historian. She holds an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts from Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, NY, and a Bachelor's degree in History from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY.
In 2012, she became Web Editor of The Clarkson Integrator where she became passionate about press relations and the power of social media. She currently maintains six Facebook pages and three traditional websites, mostly for local music groups, but also for her hometown of Oriskany, NY.
When she's not reaching out online, Alexis enjoys researching family history, helping others find their ancestors, and digitizing media. Over the last eight years, she's digitized nearly 100 hours of video tape and 8mm moving pictures. She also scans historical documents, photographs, slides, and negatives.
Determined to document history, not just preserve it, Alexis also practices photography and videography.
When not traveling, Alexis enjoys spending time with her family.
